Romans 7:7-25 | My Sin & My Struggle | Baptisms
As we head into the second part of Romans 7 (Romans 7:7-25), Paul describes how Christians have been released from the law and wedded to Jesus, enabling them to now serve in the new way of the Spirit (7:1-6). Before unpacking this more fully in chapter 8, he addresses God's purpose for giving the Law, reminding us of the Law's goodness, but then he dramatically describes how one cannot keep the law perfectly, thus magnifying our need for the Savior. Romans 7 describes perfectly well the present struggle we all face as redeemed sinners. We are set free from sin, yet we still struggle with sin. The key in all of this is to remember our identity, who we are in Christ. Join us as we continue our study in Romans 7!
