As we continue in Romans, Paul has told us that everyone is under the curse and punishment of sin. We all rightly are deserving of the wrath of God. As well, there is nothing we can do to save ourselves because by the law we are condemned. How then are we to be saved? Salvation is the amazing free gift of God, by His grace, to all those who by faith repent and believe. God accepts as payment for sin, the death of His perfect Son, Jesus Christ. By faith in Jesus Christ, we receive that gift, and the righteousness of Christ is credited to our account making us right with God. God then is both just and the justifier of repentant trusting sinners.
