Advent is a traditional Christmas word meaning “to come”. For centuries, Christians have used this season to pause, reflect, and prepare for the celebration of the coming of Jesus. It’s also a time to anticipate His imminent return when He will once and for all make all things right. Waiting isn’t fun but it is necessary. It reveals hopes, dreams, idols, and worship. May this Christmas truly be a season of waiting as we look to the LORD Jesus Christ for all He is and all we need.
