It’s one thing to have passion, it’s another to have discernment. We’re called to have both. God wants us to be passionate in our pursuit of Him but also be discerning of His truth. Somethings sound good but not everything that sounds good is. As we seek Him, God gives us wisdom and discernment to sort truth from lie. In doing, we preserve our souls and those around us.
