Two popular ideas of our day are FOMO (fear of missing out) and YOLO (you only live once). None of us want to miss out and none of us want to waste our lives and the time we have. You might be surprised to know this is the exact point of Psalm 90. However, where the world (and we can be tempted too) misapplies these, the application and focus is where we can get off track and God calls us to true wisdom. God’s Word teaches a completely different perspective than the world. Because life is so short, we shouldn’t live for today, we should live for eternity. Don’t fear on missing out on things here on earth. Fear missing out on things in Heaven. You only live once, so don’t wast it on trivial things and for yourself. Use your life to serve God and live for Him, storing up true riches and treasures in Heaven. It’s all about perspective. Join us Sunday as we look to wisdom from Moses and Psalm 90 to give us that!
