Luke 22:39-53 | "Jesus Agonizes in the Garden"
All that Jesus had done, all that Jesus had taught, all led to this - Jesus would be betrayed by His own, rejected, beaten, punished, spit on, and ultimately crucified on a Roman cross. This was not the end He deserved. This was the one who had never sinned, being punished for the sins of us all. Yet, this was God’s plan. Jesus, who knew no sin, would become sin for us, so that in Him, we might become the righteousness of God. In His humanity, Jesus agonizes over what is ahead of Him, yet He shows perfect submission to the Father. In, are profound lessons for us. As we head into part 4 of our study in the Gospel of Luke, join us as we see Jesus demonstrate what full surrender looks like.
